A TYPICAL SUNDAY IN A NIGERIAN HOUSE 1

In Nigeria, sunday equals church day. It's the one day of the week devoted to God and visiting friends in the evenings. Not going to church on sunday subjects you to judgmental looks from holier-than-thou brethren. So to avoid this wahala, kukuma go to church.
In every Nigerian home, there is a typical sequence of events.
  1. MUMMY: The ever stable alarm. I wonder how mothers do it. Always on time. Do they even sleep? Anyway, they are the bane of sweet sleep and help you resist laziness when you're lying on your bed contemplating if its worth it to stand up and go to church or whether you should just resume the sleep. You can be rest assured that Mum won't leave your room until you're up and about. Tiri Gbosa for our 9ja Mummy's!!!
  2. RUSH HOUR: For some reason, no matter how early we wake up, there's always a rush for church which sometimes leads to lateness. Could be caused by anything ,maybe someone forgot to wash the car, indecision about what clothes to wear or for us ladies, makeup ;)
  3. THE SERMON: We've finally made it to church and now it's time for the main event *The Sermon*. Sometimes, we're blessed with a moving sermon we actually enjoy and can get carried away with . Time flies fast with these sermons. BUT some days are just the opposite. An endless sermon one can hardly understand. Time runs painfully slow and more often than not, the only outlet is sleep
